I’m at a point in my life that I’d like to start sharing my life with someone. I love Jesus, and He comes first in my life, and I’d like someone that shares that passion as I do. The problem with that is that I can’t go around asking girls that I don’t know how their relationship with Jesus is…such is the world. This guy and I met on a Christian dating site. (The same one my brother met his wife on). We found out we had a lot in common so we just talked as friends. One night he said he liked me and wanted to know if I liked him because he didn’t want to get his hopes up and then find out that I didn’t feel the same way. I let him know that I liked him too. We continued talking and things got more and more serious. My parents wanted us to meet just so we knew if we really liked each other or not. We ended up meeting and really hitting it off. We went on dates all weekend to the beach, to restaurants, to the pet store lol Everything seemed great and he even kissed me. When I came back home for the first week everything seemed fine still. We were still flirting and everything. Then little by little he would not call everyday, but then he would start calling again. And I asked him if everything was okay and he acted like it was. I let him know that I have yet to get my heart broken and if anything was ever wrong to let me know. He promised he would. One week later, we were flirting through text messages and the next day he stopped talking. I waited a little while to make sure it wasn’t something dumb like his phone broke or something like that. (I didn’t want to jump to conclusions. I wanted to see if there was a reason). I wrote him an email just to see what was up. I was very understanding and let him know that I would like him to write back rather it be good, bad, or in between. He never wrote back. And up until that point he had stuff on his website about “how great I was.” And he took everything down. Why would he do this after he promised me that he would let me know if something was wrong? By the way I was 19 and he was 22. Please, no mean answers only serious ones. I’m clueless here….

And as a side note, I have called him, emailed him, texted him and he will not answer. He’s being a huge jerk about it when I feel that I at least deserve to know.
By the way, he actually did ask me to be his girlfriend so we really were dating. In the beginning he kept texting me several times before I would even write back. That’s why I thought it was strange when he would go days without talking to me and then he would start up again.

Those verses involve most sexual and other ethical rules, so if they don’t apply to non-Israelites, then we should be okay to be sexually immoral (According to many Christians), right?

On the other hand, if God says somewhere that something is an “abomination,” then he probably won’t change his mind just because time has passed, right? The punishment just isn’t as severe here on earth.

What do you think of this? What is your stance on that issue?
